The VIAJEO project will be officially launched during the ITS World Congress at the congress venue on 25th September 2009. The project, starting Sept 2009, is funded by European Commission, DG Research. The project aims at development of an open platform solution to facilitate data exchanges and shares among different stakeholders and transport operators. Use of the open platform will enable more efficient traffic management and more sustainable transport planning. The project will demonstrate applications of the open platform in Athens, Sao Paolo, Beijing and Shanghai.
